Title of the paper: Introduction to journalism concepts and practice

Course outcome:

  1. To introduce concepts of mass communication and general and journalism in particular
  2. TO impart fundamentals of journalism, evolutionary ,process, basic concepts, practices and recent trends
  3. To expose students to different facts of Journalism
  4. to develop inquisitive an analytical skills to be successful in media.
  5. Title of the Paper: Computer applications for media


Course outcome:

  1. Understanding the concepts of computer
  2. Develop and understanding of the applications of computer in print and electronic journalism
  3. Get acquinted with internet application
  4. Apply information technology skills in print and broadcast projects
  5. Demonstrate web based broadcasting skills

Title of the paper: News reporting and analysis

Course Outcome:

  1. organize and articulate new stories .Understand the concepts, structure and types of news
  2. Formulate skills for news selection, process and design the end product ,identify the basic ethical issue and how they can practice fair play

Title of the Paper: News processing and Editing

Course Outcome:

  1. Understand the role of editors. Edit copy using correct grammar and write usage of words.
  2. Be able to write clear and accurate headlines and captions.
  3. Be able to design basic news page. Understand the ethical issue confronting editing.


Title of the Paper: Advertising and public relations :CS.6.1

Course Outcome:

This course is to provide student with the fundamental understanding of advertising and its place in business ,branding and society.

Explain public relations as an ethical practice, a planned process, a managerial concept and a behaviour science

Title of the Paper: Introduction to Digital Media: CS.6.2

Course Outcome:

  1. Digital media is an exciting courses that gives students the opportunity to express themselves creatively using technology.
  2. The students will explore how to produce high quality multimedia such as digital image and videos.
